Filler, baby!

1 Apr

I’ve been sick for about a week now and though I’m on the mend, my brain is actually one giant NOPE right now. I have some awesome pics from the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower from last weekend, but it’s not going to happen today. Instead, how about some classic Whose Line is it Anyway? I miss staying up late and watching this show with my brother and sister.  Also, it’s April 1st, so I figure everyone would like a little something to make them laugh.

Escher Filler

20 Jun

I’m still in Nanjing. My cousin Kyle is awesome, the city is great, and the internet is limited, so here’s a cool filler video in lieu of train/Nanjing/cousin shenanigans.

So, I’m in Nanjing visiting my cousin Kyle right now. Or I should be. I’m not sure about internet access for the next week and a half, as I travel to Hong Kong and then on to home in NY, so this week is going to be filler-heavy. Sorry about that. Have some excellent dubstep, instead.

This video is like the Jabbawockeez had a TRON challenge, which is to say that it’s awesome.

The Saga of Biorn

23 May

Still sick. Alas. Here’s some more awesome filler.

It’s a short video about Vikings. I have a soft spot for Vikings. I mean, yeah, they raped and pillaged coastal Europe for the good part of a millennium, to the extent that the Lord’s Prayer had a local addition to the tune of “please keep the northmen away oh god oh god” for most of coastal Northern Europe. But their mythology is interesting as all get out. I mean, this is the culture that brought us Thor, Loki, and Odin. Where would we (and the Avengers!) be without that?

Earworms

14 Mar

Well, I haven’t done this in a while, but hey, filler’s filler. Here are three earworms that I have obsessed over and you probably should too.

David Guetta ft. Sia, “Titanium”

David Guetta’s been blowing up my music playlist recently. I know he’s been around for ages, but he’s been a perfect storm of this and “Turn Me On” with Nicki Minaj (shut up she’s awesome). This is all Ann’s fault.

Madeon Que Veux Tu

This is also Ann’s fault. I mean, the dancing is hilarious, the music fun to ride my bike to, and it’s irrepressibly cheerful. I have no idea what they’re saying in French, but I have a long history of not caring with this sort of music.

Coldplay, “Paradise”

For something a little less dupsteppy, I give you Coldplay. Not exactly an unknown here; what can I say, I’m excellent at jumping on the bandwagon. This one’s Trish’s fault. What a terrible sister. /sarcasm.
